Aleppo is one of the biggest Ottoman states pertinent to Ankara, Diar Bake and Mamouret Alaziz state and Albokamal in the east and it included Deir Alzzor until 1881 and it included Hama in 1890 whose area reached 80 thousand Sq.Km and in 1897 Adana and Mersin wae separated and in 1921 separated from Marash, Orfa, Aintap and all areas of Kilikia according to the agreement of Franklin - Boyoun.
In 1938 Iskandaroun territory was separated and in 1961 Idleb was separated and the area of Aleppo became 18482 Sq. Km

Aleppo includes eight districts: Jabal Aammaan, Albab, Manbej, Afrin, Jarablos, Ain Alarab, Azaz, Alsfia, attributed by 31 area, 32 towns, 1453 vilages, 1296 farms forming %10 of Syria area and it is the fifth governorate for area after Homs, Deir Alzzor, Hasaka and Rakka.
